I assure you that our Analyst Team reviews GA all the time and are all certified by Google. My main point was that the referral traffic seen in GA is unable to tell you the sentiment. And the fact that you can double check negative sentiment is extremely important because there aren't any tools that are perfect- you must analyze data in order create a proper solution which will allow you to enter the conversation. Thanks for the feedback! We should have some more Advanced training topics in the future. I will be conducting a SEO with LAMP/CSS webinar shortly- would this interest you?. Look forward to hearing from you again, hopefully we can get a better rating from you next time.

Travis Low
Director of Operations, www.WebMarketing123.com

I want to quote your post in my blog. In that case, it's not necessarily about share, in fact high search share might be obscuring the true effectiveness (or lack thereof) of the SEM effort.

I understand that it's not as black-and-white as described above but I would be personally leery of presenting this metric to anyone as a key indicator of success unless it were for an initial SEO effort or a branding campaign that had the simple goal of raising awareness without any (or very little) concern towards deeper engagement like sign up or purchase.

I guess if your clients like it, that's a good thing but I'm not sure that makes it 'key'.

Welcome to the blogosphere.

-Clint
